Start of the sticker bomb

The passengers side wing was (badly) hand painted by the last owner and there was paint on the indicator and side repeater; indicator was changed anyway so I whip the side repeater off (easy peasy, I'll make a video πŸ‘ ) and give it a quick spray and sanded it whilst wet, sprayed it off, dried it and put the bulb back in and then slotted it back in the wing
Now I can't afford to be getting paint jobs and I can't find a new wing close enough to go pick up so..... STICKER BOMB!!!! 😁

I had previously gone and bought all the Sticker Bomb books about a month ago (Amazon second hand (I know what you're thinking but only one came with a single sticker missing πŸ˜‰) they're all £40+ brand new)

I've resisted the urge to bomb everything I see and I'm also staying calm and collected and deciding where I will and won't Bomb on the car..... But firstly that hand painted wing got fucked up πŸ˜›

Next will be under the bonnet, and the dashboard πŸ‘ .....at least 😬

Front splitter and rear bumper

Front splitter was completely removed and put back on (kind of) properly with some cable ties; which will now result in my next purchase of this sticker

It looks a hell of a lot better than it did as you can see

Before: (not the best angle)

After:

Now I haven't said anything about the back bumper, because it was in better condition than the rest of the car..... I say WAS because until yesterday it genuinely was πŸ˜•
I went out for my first drive of the car with one of mates, after getting insured on my provisional
Arriving back I drove forwards onto the drive and after he had left I thought I best turn it round as my fiancée or my sisters husband to be may need to use the driveway. So everything was going fine until I couldn't see the wall in my mirror and then BANG!!! I mounted the wall 😣

Before:

After:

Oh shit! 😞
There is a few dents here and there anyway so I'll go get myself a few of these to cover them πŸ˜›

Steelies

Wire brushed them all over and give them a jet wash; who'd have known that the black hub cap was actually a silver one that the last owner painted haha

I'll give it a week or two but I'm going to sand them down properly and spray them white 😊

It's the little things that make the difference

Got out the old heat gun and took the door strips off..... I just couldn't be arsed getting the sticky stuff left behind off today πŸ˜›

Indicators are on

Looks better already πŸ˜›
If I get a chance I'll make a video/step by step one day
It's was so simple; bonnet up, remove 1 screw, slide out, twist the back where the bulb is, pick the new one up and do it in reverse πŸ‘

MOT

Got myself insured Saturday night so I can drive around with Amy or whoever else is nice enough to come out with me :P

Downside is the MOt is due tomorrow (Mon 7th) so need to get that sorted asap; I'll be ringing round first thing
I'm still excited from Thirsday when I went to collect it and just want to drive it :D
Got my re-test in a fortnight, fingers crossed I pass this time and don't take a wrong turn haha

Front bumper

Can't find a new front
Bumper at any scrappers or eBay :/
Only ones I can find are in worse condition than mine or the wrong colour and I'd like to keep my costs down as much as possible so no chance
Of having one sprayed anytime soon

Going to take mine off and take a closer look and decide what to do with it; if the splitter will go back on and I can get a few stickers on it I'll be happy for the time being :)

First customisation

Thursday 3rd April
Bought some clear indicators off eBay for £13.99 and a decent sheet of fly eye film to tint my lights, which was £5 I think
Didn't get round to writing a post but I was busy Friday, and then was out for a friends leaving do
Got home yesterday after work and both packages had been delivered
Off now until Thursday so I intend to get them on and the film applied all round :)

All round photos

Car purchased

Before I finished work this morning I saw a listing for a 3 door 1.0 '94 Polo 6N for £199!!! Priced to clear
So I set an alarm to call up when the garage opened and was told someone else was maybe coming down from Burnley to view it but the gentleman said if I phone and say I've left to come view it he'll hold it until I make my decision
It started 1st time without a problem, oil was good, all levels were good, exhaust was blowing a little and the clutch could do with being altered slightly but other than that the paint work is in pretty bad nick but you couldn't get a better car for that price.
